Em circunstâncias totalmente diferentes do primeiro álbum e depois de um tempo de experiência com sua nova banda, um período de esgotamento físico e psicológico e, uma longa turnê como vocalista substituta do Nightwish, – Oficializada agora – Floor Jansen nos trouxe Wild Card: o aprofundamento em forma de música dos altos e baixos que ocorreram em sua vida ao passar dos últimos anos. Como já podíamos esperar de uma cantora versátil como Floor Jansen, seu diferencial está na junção de inúmeras técnicas vocais, como canto lírico, belting, screams e grunts, unido a guitarras distorcidas, sintetizadores em linhas melódicas marcantes que nos resultam numa atmosfera ora extremamente agressiva, ora suave, doce e às vezes melancólica.
